ultrasonic testing

A volumetric method that allows detecting internal flat, spatial discontinuities and discontinuities situated at a specific angle in relation to the head travel surface. Ultrasonic waves are used during the test.

The purpose of the research is to obtain information on the size, location and nature of discontinuities in the material or in the weld. Ultrasonic waves generated by transducers of ultrasonic heads are used. A typical ultrasonic test kit includes: flaw detector, power cord, cables connecting the pulse transmitter and receiver to the head.
